Point Based System, PSB – Student Visa to the UK

By admin, May 3rd, 2009

From April 2009, all students who wish to study at Anglian College London, must apply uner the Point Based System (PBS), which requires prospective students to ensure that they are eligible for 40 points.

An Admission to Anglian College London letter gives a prospective student 30 points straightaway. Whereas they must show that they have 5400 GBP in their bank for at least 1 month  for them to claim another 10 points. There is no other way to get points.

Anglian College London will be the sponsor of a student who wishes to apply for a student visa to study at Anglian College London. The College is, in the meantime, awaiting the Home Office licence that it applied for in March. All students who have applied for a course will be issued a Visa Letter in due course which they can submit to the local British Embassy or High Commission alongside their application for an Entry Clearance or a visa.

Message from the Anglian College London Principal, Dr A Durham, MA, PhD

By admin, Jul 9th, 2008

Dr. AnthonyWelcome to our website, with information about Anglian College London. Here you can browse through our courses, find out how to join us, and also learn about life in the UK and the College.

Anglian is a small college in a big city. So we understand that money does not grow on trees. We want to help you get the best possible education that you can afford. That means high quality teaching, good facilities, and competent administration – all for reasonable fees.

At Anglian College we try to draw the best out of all our students, so they work effectively as well as hard, and so they gain knowledge as well as passing exams. Some of our programmes teach quite general skills, such as Business Studies and Information Technology. Others lead to more specific qualifications, such as the National Certificate in Dental Nursing.

Your life outside the classroom is important too. Anglian College’s location means that you will pay lower housing, living, and transport costs than in other parts of Greater London. Yet you will still be within easy range of central London if you need a part-time job. And of course you will have ready access to all the social life, free entertainment, and human diversity of one of the world’s greatest metropolitan areas.

Dental Surgery in Anglian College London

By admin, Jan 2nd, 2008

Following the GDC’s decision not to allow unqualified individuals practice as a Dental Nurse or Hygienist, Anglian College London has reacted by promoting its own programme of Dental Nursing, Health and Social Care and Overseas Nursing to cater for the foreseeable shortage in the industry. Ms Gloria Grant, who has 40-plus years of experience in the Health Care and Nursing environment, is spearheading the programmes within the Health and Care Department of the College. She reckons the shortage of staff that was seen by the RGN (her actual role) some 7-8 years ago may arise within the Dental and Health Care industry. Already there are delays and inefficiency taking root in the NHS regarding dental treatment as well as social care.
