ACL Foundation Programmes - 2 Yrs Pre-degree

The programmes consist of two full time academic years, the first of which is the mandatory foundation year, common to all students enrolled in any of these diplomas. The modules covered in the programmes are as follows:

A.  Year 1 - The Foundation Year - Certificate Level - All 6 Modules Mandatory

B.  Year 2 - Step Up/Direct Entry - Diploma Level - Two Mandatory and Four Optional Modules

What after ACL Foundation Programme?

Successful completion of the first year will earn a student an Anglian College London Certificate. They then go up to the second year to 'specialise' more on their chosen discipline and to gain Anglian College London Diploma, hence aiming to prepare for higher diplomas or the second year of a university degree. Acceptance of ACL Diplomas is down to the decision of individual university and the student's ability to demonstrate and convince what materials were learned during their programme at ACL - no guarantee of any form may be given by Anglian College London although we do provide supportive references if required. A student with a suitable educational background and qualification may be considered for direct entry to the second year i.e. the diploma programme.  

Who Else Can Do These Programmes?

The ACL Certificates or Diplomas are for those students who have completed their studies at tertiary level but are somehow hesitant in pursuing the full blown Higher Diplomas or one of the university degree programmes. The course contents and all ensuing assessments of these programmes are levelled at approximately 3 to 6 months into the first year of a university degree. It might also be a good choice for you if you prefer to earn a proper certificate awarded by a college in the UK rather than that from multinational professional course providers such as professional business and information institutes.

Are They Suitable for Overseas Students as Well?

The College has  all  of its foundation programmes currently made available  to its non-UK students. These programmes are also aimed at bridging the gap of knowledge for those students who have successfully completed GCSE equivalent qualifications overseas or low grade GCE A Levels or other tertiary education, but require preparatory programmes to step on to the higher level diplomas or universities degrees.
